Hráva niekto? Máte s tým skúsenosť?

TLDR: Sú to hry na rozhraní sandboxového RPG hexcrawlu a príbehových ameritrash deskoviek v štýle Arkham Horror.

Ja som nedávno z krabice vybalil štvrtý diel Domain of Mirza Noctis (BGG, homepage).

Domain of Mirza Noctis
An actual play story of Junia and Tressus

The darkly burning shadow essence of the former Knight of Light Tressus var Hylding and the Rona witch Junia with her fox familiar Maya have made a pact to join their forces to get rid Krasvetelia of the dreaded vampire prince Mirza Noctis. They feel a dread falling upon the lands…

They started from the village of Ryzeria. They bought food, hunter’s gear and a voodoo doll to help them slow their opponents when in need of fleeing. The thankful villagers also equipped them with magic torches.

They briskly embarked on foot in the early morning. In the marshes on the edge of the cartographed home region stands an ancient crypt. However, it is locked - so the heroes decided to scout around it in the hopes of finding some support. Once in the wilderness, they found a path to the monastery known as Last Dawn, not far from the ancient crypt. Between the monastery and the crypt they found an entrance into the catacombs. Pushing aside the debris, it became evident that someone was recently here.

They entered the dark dungeon, with Junia’s perfect orientation ability and the magic torches providing them with enough resources. Near the entrance, hidden in a small shrine in a recess in the wall of the cave where the remains of another group who may have lost their way were strewn, Junia found a brilliant red gemstone, nestled within an intricate lattice of silver and gold. When she lifted it, she felt light-headed, as if her own blood caused the red gem to darken. She recognised from the old legends the Amulet of the Blood Dawn, a magical artifact that gives its bearer unnatural resilience and strengthens their Blood Magic ability (which Junia didn’t possess yet).

Deeper in the catacombs the heroes also found an old bookshelf cut into the wall. Pushing away the cobwebs, they discovered several vials of magic potions. Later they also come across a cavern where large, hollow roots have broken through the walls. Further investigation revealed a faint light coming down from above, a shaft through which the branches of a well-known Great Tree lying many miles to the south were visible! These catacombs were apparently connected to a larger mythical underworld that operates on its own laws of time and space, being able to transport our heroes across hundreds of miles… and through which faintly glowing blue, red and green rune stones were scattered. At this time they also became aware that a living construct in the shape of a scarecrow was following them, however, without any apparent ill intent. It was disconcerting, but they allowed him to silently follow them.

Not wanting to prolong their stay in the dark corridors for too long, when the heroes managed to find stairs leading to the locked crypt from below, they did not hesitate. Once within the ancient crypt, they conducted a ritual of activation, dissolving the found blue and green runes into sharp flashes of light. Demonic half-skeletal beings appeared, demanding the heroes for their goals and motivation. “Someday we shall be hailed as heroes. But that is not why I work. For me it is simpler than this.” - said Tressus. This answer seemed to please the demons, who started to disappear. The leading daemoness, a warrior priestess high in the demonic hierarchy, smiled and imparted a powerful boon on both of our heroes - and vanished. With this the locked stone doors of the crypt sprang open, letting moonlight in.

When the heroes exited the crypt, the silent scarecrow suddenly turned into a dark elf. He was cursed to wander the mythical underworld until someone leads him out. He bowed and thanked, but before departing said a prayer of health for Junia.

The heroes realized they have been under the earth for quite long. The villain Mirza Noctics was active during that time, sending his minions across villages of Krasvetelia…
