Prvoedicne Deadlands (a s nimi suvisiace prirucky) mali vlastny system (ktory mal niekolko velmi zaujimavych momentov - napriklad chargen, magiu a riesenie iniciativy). Druha edicia bola d20 (a prisla o takmer vsetky jedinecne momenty z hladiska mechanik). Tretia edicia je Savage Worlds (resp. Savage Worlds vychadzaju z povodneho Deadlands systemu) a niektore zaujimave veci sa vratili, ale vacsinou v inej podobe (nie az tak cool).
Taktiez zo settingoveho hladiska - tretia edicia je omnoho viac Steampunk, kedze sa deje 10 rokov po prvej (ktora bola "Western with Zombies", really).

Ano viem povodny deadlands je western vlastne kedysi som hraval aj karetnu hru na tieto motivy , boli tam super nemrtvy cowboji.
