Everybody wants something from Angel-A.

Williams, the conflicted manager / talent scout for entertainment megacorp New Experience, wants to destroy her. Because he loves her.

Dr. Rankin, the research scientist, wants to prove she's capable of growth. Because she wants to prove her theories, out of pride.

And old man Johnson, withered exec, wants her secret. Because living forever sounds better than dying from a terminal illness.

And that's because Angel-A, world phenom pop-star and soulful chanteuse, is dead. The real Angela died in a car crash before becoming a singing sensation, but after being discovered by and falling in love with Williams, and after having her brain scanned as part of an experiment to create neural nets imitating real people (thanks Dr. Rankin).

So Angela died in the car crash, and New Experience launched the career of virtual pop star, Angel-A (always read the fine print in those contracts, kids). Who was just like Angela, except, y'know, not a real person. And she was a world sensation, and her fans seemed to adore her even more because she didn't really exist.

And Williams started drinking, because he hated this monstrosity that was a perfect copy of his dead love. And he was even more tortured because somewhere deep inside, when he looked at it, he saw Angela and loved her, imitation or not, so he could never be free of her.

And Dr. Ranken wanted to prove that her creation was more than just a glorified recording of a pop star's mannerisms, that the virtual Angel-A was really a person. A true AI.

And old man Johnson shuddered and shook his cane, because he saw a way out of his withered, dying husk, a way to beat death and attain immortality...

Akorat ten pocet nepochopeni veci v pravidlech je dost znacnej. Muj RT screw-up list ma pul stranky a4.

Plukovnik Sanders -- puvodne byl ztelesnenim condition Armed a Dangerous u M NEWS (odbor valecne zurnalistiky, sef reality show REAL WAR), pozdeji se odpojil a je nastvanej. Drsnej cyborg. Az po asi dvou hodinach hry (objevil se v uvodni scene od M NEWS) nam doslo ze Sanders se jmenuje ten chlapek z KFC.
Toto ma mimoriadne obveselilo :D

Tak jsme to hrali. Dobry.

Postavy:
Zoe Castillo, kuryrka ve zlutocerny kombineze. hleda typka jmenem Jack (vztah mezi nima jsme schvalne nepopisovali) se SMG.

<neco> Sato-san: japonec, korporatni typek (unosce a assassin), chce utect od korporace aby ho nechali na pokoji.

Anonymous, hacker s katanou a raketou (ne raketometem. v seznamu vybaveni je raketa, ne raketomet. popsali jsme to jako ze ukrad launch kody od nejakyho raketometu $D), co chce vytahnout na svetlo spinu o M NEWS.

Frakce:
disCONTINUITY: AI hnana chticem (nahazovani frakci $D ), chce Zoe protoze je jeho "B0hYNe". Projevuje se jako poskozeny fraktal ve kyberprostoru, ve skutecnem svete ji slouzi ruzni typci v zrcadlovkach kteri pod nimi nemaji oci a i jinak jsou lidmi jen navenek.

Takeshida (asi): japonska biotech korporace.

M NEWS, (tez znama jako M-TV $D ), jedina zpravodajska korporace vlastnena Murdochem, mozkem v lahvi co komunikuje jako hologram.

Hra zacla tim, ze Zoe odmitla vydat nejakou zasilku a vypadla z letadla na Zenevou, a skoncila tim, ze se dohodla se Sato-sanem (ktery predtim slibil disCONTINUITY ze ji odchyti) na spolupraci. Mezitim se zdrhalo, strilelo, manipulovalo, haclovalo, kradly se vrtulniky a tak dal.

A i jinak pohoda.

No to je tiež istý spôsob humoru | (páči sa mi |) spôsob, akým v dvoch vetách vyjadriť odlišnú mentalitu tejto hry od pôvodnej. Ono nezávislí autori si to môžu dovoliť a ja túto techniku tiež nezriedka používam.

Napr. pekne to spravil John Wick v Houses of the Blooded:
Almost everything that’s true about D&D is untrue in this game. In D&D, the most common kind of character is a wandering nomad who lives outside the law, an adventurer roaming the countryside, scouring dungeons, killing onsters, gaining treasure and weapons so he can kill bigger monsters. Cities are little more than outdoor dungeons and characters rarely—if ever—encounter the upper class or deal with politics.

In Houses, you play a noble. A character with a past. A character with a family, with vassals, responsibilities and duties. The Law is an ever-present factor in your life. Because you are a noble, “treasure” really has no value for you and problems such as “wandering monsters” are problems for someone of lesser status to handle. Someone you can hire. Someone expendable. And rather than living in a bubble immune to the effects of political scheming, your character lives in a world that looks like a bastard child of Tanith Lee and Niccolò Machiavelli.

Those books, and this game, are not about “teams” of “runners” loading up on tech from “MetalBookIV” or Min|Maxing every damage die and +2s out of guns|gear while marking in 40 boxes of damage. Fuck no.
Ale to v zasade nic neni. Jenom to osobne nemam rad, a libi se mi jak treba Diaspora nebo BW cituje stary hry jako dulezity a fajn vzory kterym se chce priblizit a dal je rozvijet, misto toho, aby oznacovali stary hry za odpad.

Nie, v 3:16ke je regulárny Game Master, ktorý pripravuje emzákov. Flow hry som ešte neuchopil, musím si to prečítať poriadne.

Inak kde v texte autor prudí do iných hier? Ten Shadowrun, čo som spomínal v prvom príspevku bol len môj subjektívny dojem, a len teraz som si všimol, že ho spomína v Influences (spolu s Lady GaGa :-)).

Jo, porad zapominam, ze se musim s nadsazkou, analogiemi a podobnymi konstrukty krotit, aby to chytali i ti ne moc chytri.

EDIT: ale nekazme si diskusi PKem.

jsem zvedavy, jak vypada beznej "flow" takovyhle hry. Takhle gm-less (more like rotating gm, or stripping gm with rotating parity ...) je i 3:16?

EDIT2: jinak jsem jedinej, komu pruzeni do jinejch her v textu hry (v trosu, tady, i jinde) jak to delaji spatnej pripada spis zahorkly? tady mi to tak prijde, a ac je mozny ze typek vytvoril lepsi shadowrun nez shadowrun, mohl si to odpustit.

EDIT3: jo, a ten uvodni textik mi pripada dost nepresnej -- clovek sice muze "obetovat positivni vlastnosti postavy pro uspech", ale je to jenom navod k popisu sceny a mysli se tim i vlastnosti jako "armed", "connected", "prepared", "loved" a tak. mezi negativnima je treba "coerced", "hesitant", "lost" nebo "dying" ( 8) ). Z toho popisu mi prislo ze spis "prestanu mit rad deti abych dostal +2 na utok, ale to se nedeje.

to uz byl posledni edit, slibuju.

No to by bolo naozaj priserne, keby zo svojej poctivej prace mal Gregor nejake peniaze a mal by motivaciu robit dalsie super hry... ;)
